The V2000 combines the most popular features from our compass line with other desired enhancements. First and foremost, it utilizes patented magnetic sensor technology – the same compass technology used in GM, Ford and Chrysler vehicles – accurate within 5° .It’s easy to mount on a windshield with suction cups, and comes with an adjustable bracket for optimal viewing (even on vertical motorhome windshields) and a structural design that reduces vibration.
Many smart features are standard on these compasses including automatic shut-off when the vehicle is parked for a few minutes, and distortion warning when magnetic interference from outside sources, such as steel from a bridge or overpass, is affecting compass accuracy. Photo Diode senses dim conditions and turns the backlight on automatically.
And it’s not a power hog. The V2000 operates on long life batteries for up to 300 hours (without backlight usage). A 12-volt adapter is included that inserts into a lighter socket to save battery life.
The unit operates under a wide temperature range and is compact in size but big enough to read from a distance, a benefit of the holographic LCD. It’s sleek new design and shape and metallic finish will get everyone’s attention.
